The space itself is very bare bones. There nothing particularly nice or pretty. But our view from our porch was probably the best view from anywhere on Kata beach. Which... read more was so close it was wonderful. The pool was very nice, and watching the local cats run around was a treat. We loved kata beach and all of the food nearby.
The place is definitely in a prime location in Kata beach. There are a lot of steps to get to your bungalow, so definitely take that into consideration. The accommodations... read more were ok. You had the basics, minus a hair dryer, which you had to ask for at reception. But all those little things aside, the killer view from your bungalow and from the pool is completely worth all the steps. Overall, for the price, it is a decent value.
This is really nice place, view is amazing, area is good, you have everything you need around. You can visit 2 beaches(5 and 10 min walking).
We... read more took this place because of pool, it is not that big as we expected, but very beautiful view.
We definitely got our workout in going up and down the stairs to our bungalow, but the view, location, and room were completely worth it. We loved are stay at... read more Dimitris’s place.
The place is nice, staff were friendly, the pool has a stunning view but it could do with a bit of maintenance/cleaning. This place is not suitable for people who... read more are not able to go up and down stairs, neither for children as the rooms require a lot of climbing.
The furniture in the room is a bit dated but very clean, air-con works really well, room does not have fan, coffee machine or any other facilities other than fridge, and they don’t offer drinks or food in site, only breakfast.
We had a lovely time in this place but lots of room for improvement in the service and facilities.
The bungalows are part of a small boutique hotel with a collection of small bungalows. The property is in a prime location in Kata with very close proximity to the... read more beach, food, and shops; but fair warning the bungalows are quite basic (bed, toilet, shower head, very small tv and not much else). This is more of a place to just sleep rather than an area to hang around, with the exception of the infinity pool which was clean and had splendid view (but there are only a couple bungalows directly next to it, the rest you must climb up or down to).
Dimitris is a very helpful host, offering to arrange transportation and ensuring everyone has an easy arrival process. However, it is a boutique hotel so you will check in and interface with the front desk employee rather than Dimitris once you arrive, and guests book through other platforms than Airbnb as well. There is housekeeping daily which is nice. The steps make carrying baggage a bit difficult, but fair warning is given and it’s not too many stairs if you stay in one of the front bungalows.
Coming from a resort before, we found the bungalow a bit too basic for our personal taste, though I would not dissuade anyone from staying here if they don’t require more than a place to sleep. The bathroom, which is not depicted well in the photos, was more of a dealbreaker for us. The toilet and shower have a small wall in between, but otherwise there is no real separation from the shower and rest of the bathroom so water will splash in the sink area making the bathroom floor generally wet.
The view is nice from the bungalows and location is prime (you can’t get much closer to the beach), however for a comparable price or slightly more there are plenty of small hotels and resorts nearby that provide more facilities beyond the basic. Anyone used to staying in hotels or resorts when traveling, would recommend going that route versus a bungalow, but that is a style preference. We ended up checking out early to go to a resort, and we’re fine sacrificing our remaining days with no refund, but if you’re on the fence beware of the strict cancellation policy accompanying this booking. When we checked out early, we discovered we weren’t the only ones to do so when the front desk clerk remarked that “yeah, people tend to change plans and leave early”.
This place was pretty cool. You have to walk up some steep steps but it is all worth it because of the views. Our place faced down towards the... read more water, which was very nice! Place was as described. This was a 5 minute walk from the beach and happening areas.
